Start with a keynote: “GOLD MEDAL EXCELLENCE – The Mindset of a Champion” – the truly inspirational story of how two little known Aussies captured Australia’s hearts by turning their Bronze Medal from the Atlanta Olympics into the Gold that we all remember on Bondi Beach in 2000 (I have a dynamic 3 minute intro video which takes everyone back to that special moment, in case they’re too young to remember! 🤣). After being inspired and marvelling at how much preparation, especially the mental preparation, went into our win, be challenged to step out of your comfort zone and walk across broken glass!!
The Glass Walk
Our journey to Gold was all about overcoming our fears and doubts, and we did many things to push ourselves out of our comfort zone – including walking on hot coals and broken glass. So, it ties in beautifully with my presentation. The glass is completely contained and easy to transport. I do 3 easy steps across it and invite anyone to join me, if they are brave enough.....!
The Beach Volleyball
· Meet me on the beach at Manly, ready to hit the sand!
· Learn all the skills (Dig, Set, Spike and Serve) with my personal demonstration and coaching.
· After being put into teams (or having pre-arranged teams) enjoy a competitive match or two depending on how much time we have.
Conclude with awards for MVP and Most Inspirational player
· All volleyball equipment provided, as well as two sun umbrellas.
· Prizes for participants will include: An autographed beach volleyball, Hamilton Sunscreen packs, mini volleyballs, signed caps and autograph cards.
